Here’s How You can Help the Galiano Museum

The Galiano Museum has
been operating in summer months
from temporary premises over the
past few years, working towards a
permanent building.
Rezoning and subdivision of
a donated piece of land have been
completed. Funds are now being
raised to construct a building suitable
for display and archiving our
collections.

The proposed building will have 2,000 sq ft,
with a partial basement storage area and an environmentally
controlled area. Permanent collections
honouring First Nations, pioneer families, and island
history will be arranged chronologically. Some area
will be available for special exhibits.
Work has begun on site preparation (a well,
power pole, sceptic field...) and construction will
start as soon as enough funds are available.
All contributions will be acknowledged and
tax receipts issued (over $20). For more information,
